Raphael Dutra leads the Privacy, Data Protection and Information Security practice, with extensive experience advising Brazilian and international companies of all sizes on matters related to new regulations and technology.

He holds a Law degree from Universidade Candido Mendes and a postgraduate degree in Digital Law and Compliance from Instituto Damásio de Direito – IBMEC/SP. He is also a specialist in Technology Management and Information Security from IDESP/DARYUS and in Privacy and Personal Data Protection from Data Privacy Brasil, with additional training in Startup and Entrepreneurial Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas/RJ.

Raphael has extensive experience in structuring and managing Data Protection Officer activities, leading teams and handling matters related to corporate technology risks. He advises high-level and complex public and private entities, both Brazilian and international, across companies of all sizes and economic sectors. Before joining PDK, he was a Partner in the Privacy and Personal Data Protection practice at ECIJA, a Spanish firm and one of the global leaders in TMT.

He is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and was a member of the Information Technology and Innovation Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro Section. He is also a member of the Corporate Investigation Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association, where he has also served on the Information Technology and Innovation Law Committee.
